Sound Volume Level
Low sound / volume levels by default
This was on a Fedora 11 system. Newly installed, the sound levels, or volume levels were extremely low, although the music itself was playing just fine. Simple fix. Choose System > Preferences > Advanced Volume Control. Raise the sliders that need to be adjusted.
