Network Manager
October 19-20, 2009
Fedora 12 Beta.
NetworkManager stopped working, apparently after some updates. I booted and logged in in the morning and was greeted with this message.
The NetworkManager applet could not find some required resources. It cannot continue.

With that, I was left with no wireless network connection. It was suggested by someone with the same problem to run
nm-applet --sm-disable
I gave it a shot and it worked. Wireless was back. Don't know if I will have to do this until there is a fix issued.
Apparently I do. Just rebooted and there was no wireless until I ran that command.
This behavior was seen on the wired desktop also.
